Chinese and Vietnamese Speakers Needed

The International Student Services Office is seeking Chinese and Vietnamese speakers to fill part time office assistance positions in the ISS office.  The see here for position descriptions:

Mandatory Dates

  • March 28th & 31st: IA Training
  • April 1st-4th: Orientation

International Student Services offers this program for students who are interested in volunteering at new international student orientation. As an IA, you will be helping new international students adjust to new environment, and assisting ISS staff for the week long orientation. This is the perfect opportunity for you to gain and improve your communication and leadership skills that will help you thrive in your future endeavors. 

We are in great need of individuals that are able to speak and translate Arabic, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, or French. We strongly encourage students who speak other languages as well.

Also, this program is a great addition to job applications and resumes, and all International Assistants will receive a certificate after the completion of the program.

In 2010, four university students lived on one dollar a day in a rural Guatemalan village, to better understand the reality of extreme poverty. Now, they are telling their stories in an effort to inspire everyone to confront global poverty.

The event is FREE, however a ticket will be required to enter. TICKET DISTRIBUTION WILL BEGIN AT 11:15 am IN FRONT OF THE BLACK BOX THEATRE.



International Night 2/28 (Fri) – Tickets Available

Edmonds CC’s 35th annual International Night will be on February 28th, 2014. We really hope to see you there! 

There will be amazing performances representing cultures from around the world. 

Tickets are on sale now at ISS Pilchuck. 

Tickets are $6 until February 13th.

Don’t wait to buy your tickets! Starting February 14th, you will have to purchase your ticket at Edmonds Center for the Arts for $9.00.


Here is how to get your tickets on campus:

1.   Pick up the ticket form at ISS, CSEL or Housing. Or print it out:

2.    Fill in the number of tickets that you want and the amount due.

3.    Take it to the Cashier’s Office in Lynnwood Hall. You will be able to pay with cash or debit/credit card. 

4.    Bring your receipt to ISS Pilchuck (campus map) during the times posted and get your tickets! We will be available for ticket sales from 9am-5pm on February 13th.
