  • Social Security Card
  • Passport
  • W-2(s) – received from your employer
  • Your bank account information (routing number / account number)
  • Flash (USB) drive

It will be important to know how many days you were present in the U.S. in the year 2014, 2013, and 2012 so please try to calculate the number of days before you come to the session.


Registration reminders and NEW rules for vacation quarters February 19, 2015

Registration for spring quarter begins  Feb. 24th. Click here to check your registration time.

Remember these important reminders:

  • To maintain F-1 status, you must take at least 12 credits every quarter
  • Online classes limit: you must take at least 7 credits on campus or hybrid.

Important: NEW rules for vacation quarters!:

  • Starting spring 2015, all college and high school students are required to study full time fall, winter and spring quarters.
  • Summer is the only vacation quarter. You cannot take spring as a vacation.

If you will go home for one or more quarters, please submit a Student Status Report form online. Remember to check with an ISS Advisor before making plans to take a quarter off.

ISS Transfer Tuesday – February 24th

Tips on Transferring to Your Dream School

Tuesday, February 24th, 3:30-4:30 pm, SNH 215

Are you a new international student and are just starting to think about where you want to apply? Or are you getting ready to work on your application and have questions?

This workshop will introduce you to the transfer process, including how to pick a university and get started on your applications. ISS advisors will also discuss how to pick the right classes and plan your degree for your major. We will also talk about how to pick a major or even a university if you are still undecided.


Transfer for Business Majors

Tuesday, February 24th, 4:30-5:30, SNH 215

Although this workshop is open to students from all majors, ISS advisors will specifically talk about transfer for business majors, such as the importance of taking the right math sequence. We will also talk about how to pick a university and tips for working on your transfer applications.

International Night Flag Procession Sign-up

We have our annual International Night event on February 28th (Saturday). Each year, we start this evening with a flag procession, and we need you!

Please complete this form by February 13th (Friday).

We will notify you via email by February 17th if you have been chosen to participate in the flag procession for the International Night. To be eligible, you MUST be able to commit to being at the Edmonds Center for the Arts for both of these evenings:

Dress rehearsal: Friday, February 27th, 5:00 – 6:45pm
Night of the event: Saturday, February 28th, 5:30 – 7:30pm

For most countries, we will be able to provide you with the flag to carry!

**** If you wish to stay for the show, you and/or guests MUST purchase tickets to the show. Tickets will be available to purchase 2/9 – 2/20 at ISS, CSEL (Brier 252), and the Housing Office for $6. AFTER 2/20, you can purchase them at the ECA for $9.
